LG Electronics isn’t ready to show off the LG G4 flagship at MWC 2015, instead choosing to debut it in April, according to a source close to the company. Meanwhile, we remind you that the LG G3 was released in May last year.

The source says that from the marketing point of view MWC was not the right place to show off the LG G4. Why? Because that’s where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S6, its new flagship and steal the show from other competitors. Meanwhile, a dedicated event will ensure all the spotlight is there for the LG G4. The Xperia Z4 is also rumored to appear separately from MWC 2015.

The new flagship may use the controversial Snapdragon 810 processor, the 8 core 64 bit chip criticized for overheating by Samsung. LG praised it for the way it worked on the LG G Flex 2, though. We also expect a 5+ inch Quad HD screen, a 20 megapixel camera at the back with Sony sensor and laser autofocus, as well as 4 GB of RAM.
