LG G7/ LG G7 Neo had a big time leak during MWC 2018, being spotted behind the scenes and ever since then it kept popping up in a variety of situations. Now we see it rendered in full and in detailed fashion, including in a 360 degree video, with notch. It all comes courtesy of Mr Phone and @OnLeaks, with pics shown below.
The two sources usually score CAD files and sketches of the real device, so that’s how they come up with very competent renders. Things are just as expected: metal frame, glass back, the audio jack is still here and there’s a fingerprint scanner at the back side. Not sure if it’s integrated within a Power button or not, particularly since there are other physical buttons on the sides, one for Power and a mystery one, probably triggering a virtual assistant.
The notch is still here, albeit not as visible on account of the black areas around it. There’s also a bottom chin here for symmetry. LG G7 adopts a glass sandwich design and interestingly swaps the dual horizontal camera of the LG G6 and V30 with a vertical one. We still find an USB Type-C port at the bottom and the format is rather compact. LG G7 has a 19:9 aspect on an IPS LCD 6 inch panel.
The dimensions here are: 153.2 x 71.9 x 8.2 mm, but it you add the camera bump, things get to 8.5 mm. LG G7 packs a Snapdragon 845 CPU, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage, plus a 16 MP + 16 MP camera combo at the back. No info on wireless charging, but it’s very likely, considering we have a glass back. Android 8.0 Oreo is the OS of choice, with AI and voice functions.
