Just one week ago we witnessed the detailed leak of a new dual core phone from LG : Optimus EX. Now the handset has become official in Korea and available for purchase soon enough. Following the dual core Optimus 3D and Optimus 2X, this new model bumps the CPU to 1.2GHz.
Of course, this is a Tegra 2 model with the ability to play back 1080p HD video. Inside there’s 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and the display on the handset supports 700 nits of brightness, reminding me of the NOVA screen that behaved beautifully on the LG Optimus Black. Also, you might want to know that this hone’s diagonal is 4 inches.
There’s also a 5 megapixel camera at the back, a front VGA one and Android 2.3 Gingerbread is the OS of choice. The form factor here is candybar and the waistline should be thin enough to make many people interested in this product. No idea what price the LG Optimus EX will have or what launch date it gets, but at least we know the specifics.
