AT&T and LG officially confirmed the local launch of the LG Optimus G monster of a smartphone, headed to AT&T. LG unveiled the device barely a week or two ago and so far we’ve only heard rumors about an AT&T launch. Today the rumors have been confirmed and the device is promised with AT&T 4G LTE connectivity.

LG Optimus G is particularly appealing, because it has the most impressive of any smartphones showcased so far. The device offers a brand new 1.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor by Qualcomm, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 2100 mAh battery for good all day use. Sadly they didn’t keep the 13 megapixel cam for the US version, only implementing an 8 megapixel shooter this time. Optimus G has one of the best displays to ever grace the American soil, a 4.7 inch True HD IPS panel by LG.

It comes with a new technology that makes the screen “closer to your finger” and provides a vivid and colorful experience, plus has great response times. It’s obvious that LG is aiming at fighting the Galaxy S III with this phone and the South Korean company has really worked on its UI, that will be applied on top of Android 4.0 ICS, so sadly no love for Jelly Bean this time around. Zero shutter lag camera, picture in picture features for videos and apps and a ton of other cool features are also coming with this model.
