HD displays are slowly turning into a trend for smartphones, so after Samsung introduced its smartphone with such a screen, here comes LG with a similar unveiling. The company just introduced the Optimus LTE model, packing a 4.5 inch HD display and obviously LTE connectivity.
The phone will debut in South Korea and comes with what they call a “True HD IPS display”, that supports a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. There’s also 20GB of storage on board (4GB internal, bundled 16GB microSD card), a dual core CPU at 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM. At the back we find the predictable 8MP camera, while at the front there’s a 1.3MP cam for video call.
A 1,830 mAh battery provides juice for this multimedia powerhouse, that also comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. As far as connectivity goes, you get HDMI, DLNA, WiFi Direct. LTE, Bluetooth and microUSB. What’s surprising here is that LG kept the thickness at 10.4mm and the weighs at 135 grams on such an innovative model.
