If you’re a fashionista who really wanted the LG Prada Phone 3.0 and got it months ago when it appeared, we have good news for you: the handset just got updated to Android 4.0 ICS. At least that’s what happened to some users in Germany and Italy over the past days…

The new firmware brings resizable widgets, new lock screen actions, quick response for incoming calls and a better voice input system. The camera UI is also tweaked and I sure hope that the camera performance of the Prada Phone 3.0 is better, since it was a bit crappy when we tested it. LG-specific apps have also been updated, I guess and I can’t help but wonder if the UI of the phone is still in black and white.

Sadly this is not a OTA update, so you’ll have to use the LG Mobile Phone Support tool to get the software. After Germany and Italy the rest of the world should get the update for the Prada Phone 3.0 as well. Nice to see that most famous phones and tablets are being covered, so after getting ICS on the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab units and big HTCs it’s not time for LG devices to get Android 4.0.
