LG and Prada have finally confirmed that they’re working on a third Prada phone, that will come in early 2012. They also published a first sketch for the third handset that celebrates the partnership between the fashion designer and phone maker. This Android phone will possibly be called Prada K2 and it was spotted on a leaked roadmap months ago.
This model promises to be fashionable, elegant and packing the latest in mobile technology. Expect here a bit of NFC, a dual core CPU, lots of storage, an original design that might involve a physical keyboard and possibly a 4 inch touchscreen. It’s not yet clear if this model will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or not, but considering its launch time frame, this is very likely.
Let me remind you that the first LG Prada phone appeared back in 2007, as a pre-emptive move for the iPhone’s debut. Things have changed and while the first Prada handset was a featurephone, the Prada Phone 2.0 came with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth watch as accessory. Now, the third version is expected to bring NOVA technology and a display with 1,000 nits of brightness into play, double the amount of the iPhone.
An 8 megapixel camera and HSPA+ complete the picture of the LG Prada K2 device and I sure hope we’ll be seeing more than a sketch soon enough.
