After some leaks, the Meizu PRO 5 is finally official and it comes with very solid specs. This model offers a 5.7 inch Full HD screen, as well as 4 GB of RAM and an USB Type C port, plus an ellegant unibody metal design, with rounded edges.

The debut took place during a special event in Beijing and the phone is aimed at being the top of the line flagship for the Chinese firm. Inside we find the famous octa core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz, the same one that powers the Galaxy S6 and Note 5. The smartphone comes in 3 or 4 GB RAM versions and integrates a main 21.6 megapixel camera, with laser autofocus for 0.7 second quick capture.

There’s a 5 MP selfie shooter upfront and the OS here is Android 5.1, customized with Flyme 5. Meizu included here the mBack touch sensitive Home button, that offers various features when pressed and they also offer fingerprint recognition technology. The battery benefits from the mCharge 2.0 feature, that juices up the 3050 mAh unit to 65% in just 30 minutes.

Finally, there’s TD-LTE, FDD-LTE and VoLTE compatibility here. The screen uses a 2.5D glass AMOLED panel and the product comes in silver black, golden, gray and silver, priced at $440 for the 3 GB RAM unit with 32 GB of storage. The 4 GB RAM model costs $485 and the product becomes available for order in China on October 12th.
