Over the past 24 hours or so there’s been a series of bad rumors surrounding the Meizu MX4 devices. First of all, there were supposed to be 4 of them launched on September 2nd, but it turns out that only the Standard model will come on that date. Seeing all the hype regarding those rumors, the company’s CEO offered some details in an interview.

He claims that in the September – December 2014 time frame there will be one Meizu product launch per month. This means we’ll indeed get 4 handsets, but one per month. He also confirmed the MX4 Standard Edition with the Mediatek MT6595 processor, the one that will debut in two days. The Meizu MX4 Pro is still in development, but there have been some problems with the fingerprint scanning mechanism.

Thus, the development has been slower and the product can’t make it to September’s event. If the delay continues, we may see the MX4 Mini in October and the MX4 Pro in November or December. The fourth unit may be a surprise tablet, or maybe a cameraphone version of the MX4, who knows?
