Motorola Droid owners should know that they’ll be getting a system update today, via over the air methods on their handsets. It’s the Android 2.0.1 update we’re talking about, that will fix the slow autofocus issue of the camera and improve a bunch of other features.
Battery life will also get enhanced, audio quality as well and the delivery of Visual Voice Mail messages will be improved, too. Stability will get a boost, speed and a new unlock screen will complete the package, according to the latest reports.
This fix should have been made available on December 11th, but we don’t mind an extra rush to please the users. The rollout will reach all Droid users in about 48 hours. Expect a larger 2.1 update in January or so…
