Remember the story we had just two days ago regarding a potential leak of the Motorola Moto X+1 handset? Well, it was a fake, as proved by the pictures below. We knew something was off with that blurred shot and now we have confirmation.

Instead of being the new Motorola handset, the device pictured there was actually the Moto X and the shot was taken from T3’s review of the smartphone. This means we still haven’t seen this device, that may debut this fall with a Full HD display, 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage. Interestingly enough, the source of the fake leak promised a hands on video and I’m really curious to see how that turns out…

Back in April, a leak claimed that the newcomer would go up to 5.2 inches in diagonal and it would adopt a 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, as well as a 12 megapixel camera. While all of this hardware may or may not appear, one thing is for sure: this device will run the latest Android, a habit that Motorola has formed over the last generations of handsets.
