CES 2009 wasn’t all about Sony and MSI notebooks or Toshiba’s latest technologies… It also featured a neat Samsung projector phone and Motorola’s precious Aura handset. If you’ve seen hands-on photos before, wait till you have a look at Engadget’s up close look at the device, caught on video.

In spite of the pretty small screen, the interface is good-looking and, of course circular and based on icons that follow each other through a pattern that reminds me of a fancy watch. Aura packs the world’s first real circular display and that beautiful shell really takes some work to polish, approximately 2 weeks, according to Moto’s representatives.

We’ve got to admit that the screen’s resolution really caught our eye more than anything else…
