It’s an epidemic of bugs and glitches this summer and apparently they’re all related to hot handsets… After the iPhone 4’s antenna became a major shame for Apple, we’ve learned that HTC Droid Eris and Nokia N97 mini have similar issues and now even the great Motorola Droid X seems to be plagued by problems.

Apparently, the screen is malfunctioning:

Some unlucky users of the very first batch of Droid X units are saying that their devices suffer from rapid screen flickering and vertical bands showing up on the display. The issue may be electrical, related to graphics processing or simply a software bug. Some of the users who spotted the problem have had their handsets already replaced by Verizon.

Others were told that these phones have the typical issues of the first batch devices. Nothing is for sure yet, so don’t start judging the Droid X just yet.
