The most famous modular handset of 2016 has just started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update in Europe, fresh after getting it in India at the end of last year. We’re playing with the smartphone right now and we’ll be back with a full review soon, but let’ see what this update brings first.

The download package takes up 1.5 GB of space and as usual Android Nougat brings fast switching between apps by pressing the Recents button, basically like Alt + Tab in Windows. There’s also the split screen multi window mode, support for Android for Work and an update for Doze, with features for using it on the go. One can also reply to messages straight from notifications and you can now have more control over these notifications.

The dropdown area is also changed, with Quick Toggles visible above notifications and a more clean area for the Quick Settings and notifications. Of course, Nougat also brings bug fixes and functioning improvement, as well as increased fluidity. In the future we’ll see updates being performed in the background, so less fuss about that, once Nougat kicks in.

Did you get the update in your country? Leave a comment below and state the country, too! The full changelog of novelty is here.
