T-Mobile USA now offers one of the few eco-friendly handsets out there, Moto Renew W233, available for $9.99 with a two year contract. The plastic case of the device is made out of recycled water bottles and the handset is recyclable as well.
Renew also comes with an incredible battery, that last about 9 hours, in talk mode and even the packaging and in-box materials are eco-friendly, since recycled paper is used. There’s even a prepaid shipping envelope in the package, used to recycle the handset, once its life cycle expires.
Motorola W233 Renew features a WAP browser, USB, support for GSM connectivity (850/1900 MHz) and a 1.6 inches CSTN display (128 x 128 pixels). There’s also an optional 2GB removable memory card included and the device weighs 83 grams and measures 45 x 110.97 x 14.7 mm.
