Back for more Xperia goodness? Here’s your daily serve of Sony Ericsson technology, straight from Barcelona and MWC, courtesy of the sister site (Mobilissimo.ro) editor Zsolt. Today we meet the Xperia Pro, a freshly announced smartphone, that will debut in Q2 and is shown here in a fancy red case.

The device uses a 3.7 inch multitouch display and a beautiful sliding QWERTY keyboard. Its design resembles the Xperia X10 and the Xperia Play a bit, with the difference that it’s lacking gaming controls. Android 2.3 runs on the handset and we get a look at the menu, that sports Sony Ericsson’s trademark software layer customization.

Gesture control is supported, making widgets float on screen and provide an accessible experience. Omnipresent shortcuts will accompany the user on the display and the list of apps is divided into pages that can be sorted as the user prefers. Just like the Xperia Arc, Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro relies on Bravia technology, in order to improve image quality.

Other details worth mentioning are the 8MP camera at the back with 720p 30 fps capture and the Snapdragon 1GHz CPU on board.
