Lumigon is a Danish company that we had the chance to check out at MWC 2012, with their T2 handset that they’ve shown us casually, without a booth presentation. The preview video is shown below and keep in mind that this handset was not shown at MWC, so this is all unofficial. Rikke Juul Hansen offered our sister site Mobilissimo.ro a short hands on and now we offer it to you.

Sadly the preview here suffers from excessive lighting, since the sun is pretty powerful in Barcelona. The Lumigon T2 looks like an elegant phone, with a combo of glass and stainless steel as its shell, a minimalistic design and a premium feeling. There’s a programmable button at the top, that can have two features, one triggered by a short press and the other by a long press. The smartphone offers infrared connectivity and can be used as a remote control for various TV models.

  • Dimensions: 9.9mm thickness
  • CPU: Snapdragon S2, single core, 1.4 GHz
  • Display: 3.8 inch, Gorilla Glass
  • Camera: 8MP, autofocus, 1080p video capture
  • Memory: microSD slot
  • Connectivity: WiFi, infrared, Bluetooth, GPS

Lumigon T2 runs Android 4.0 ICS with a custom UI, uses FM radio and Bang & Olufsen tech, so the audio experience must be fantastic. The back side of the T2 is made of plastic and the rest of the case is all glass and steel. With the ICS OS, strong case, Gorilla Glass and these looks, the phone could become a hit quite fast. Its price will be 500 euros and the launch will take place before the end of the first half of 2012.
