Nokia announced a low-end CDMA phone today, Nokia 2608, a handset that rather impresses you with its fuchsia exterior than its specs. We’re dealing with the simplest of handsets, a CDMA handheld that allows you to call/receive calls and send/receive text messages. Nokia 2608 can also be used as a modem and it features FM radio, voice recorder, a flashlight and a mobile organizer.

Expect it to reach stores in Q1 2009 outside the US, but know that its price is yet unknown. It’ll probably be available for free with a nice two year contract in many countries…
