The start of June brought us launches of the latest Nokia phones in many parts of the world. The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 just debuted in India, a few days after the launch in Eastern Europe, Romania. Of course, they’re joined by the Nokia 3310 (2017), the nostalgic handset that conjures the famous 3310 from 2000.
These handsets are the first from the HMD Global age, with Nokia being resurrected by the Finnish enterprise. Nokia 3 is the most affordable Android smartphone of the bunch, with a $147 price tag. It’s made of polycarbonate and uses aluminum for the side frame. We’ve got a 5 inch IPS LCD screen on board, with 2.5D glass panel and Gorilla Glass protection.
There’s a MediaTek MT6737 processor, we’ve got 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, as well as an 8 MP back camera. A 2630 mAh battery is here, plus Android 7.0 Nougat.
Nokia 5 is priced at $200 and comes with a metal unibody design, 5.2 inch IPS screen with 2.5D panel and a Snapdragon 430 CPU. There’s also 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 13 MP back shooter. Selfies are done with an 8 MP cam. A 3000 mAh battery and Android 7.1.1 is the OS.
The best specced device is the Nokia 6, with a $233 price tag and it’ll be an Amazon India exclusive. It’s made of aluminum, packs a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, Snapdragon 430 CPU, 3 GB of RAM and a 16 megapixel rear camera. An 8 MP front cam is here, plus a 3000 mAh battery and Android 7.1.1 Nougat is here, too. A flash sale will happen on July 14th and Amazon Prime customers will get a discount in India.
Meanwhile in Romania, prices are similar and sales start later this month. Nokia 3310 (2017) starts at around $55-$60.
