Nokia 801T is a 4 inch touch handset that was rumored a while ago and also it had a sketch published online. Now, the design turned into a real phone, that’s shown below, together with a real list of specifications. The phone is available in China and as far as I know it’s a developer smartphone, unless I’m mistaking.
We’re dealing here with what looks like a midrange handset with a pretty good camera. The phone runs Symbian Anna and uses a 4 inch Clear Black LCD nHD display and an ARM11 single core 680 MHz processor with 2D/3D graphics accelerator. The entire device weighs 170 grams, measures 12.75 mm in thickness and it works both in GSM networks and TD-SCDMA ones. We also get an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, composite TV out and presumably a TV antenna, a popular feature in China.
Nokia 801T comes with Nokia Maps 3.0, PictBridge, A-GPS, 230MB of C storage, 8GB of mass storage, 256MB of RAM and a hot swap microSD card slot. There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on board with f/2.8, 50 cm to infinity operating mode and support for 720p video capture at 30 fps. There’s also a front VGA camera on board, support for Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and a 1300 mAh battery, that provides 5.7 hours of GSM talk time.
