It’s been a while since the latest Nokia 9 leak, but here we are with a fresh one. This time the device popped up over at the FCC, with a few specs revealed yet again. Even though it’s going to be a 2018 machine, the specs sound more like 2017.
The handset is going to have a Snapdragon 835 CPU and Android Oreo judging by the latest leaks. This year has been quite busy for Nokia, who came back with the aid of HMD Global and Foxconn. They debuted a few hot midrange phones, like the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 7, but also the high end Nokia 8. And then we had the entry level models Nokia 3 and Nokia 2.
Nokia 9 should have come this year, with some of its oldest leaks dating as far back as this Spring even. The device passed through the FCC recently, which basically confirms a US debut and also makes me think of a CES unveiling next month. Key specs of the machine were revealed, like a 5.5 inch OLED panel made by LG, a dual 12 MP + 13 MP back camera, a 5 MP front facing shooter for selfies and 128 GB of storage, plus microSD.
There’s a 3250 mAh battery inside and sadly we have no info about RAM, but it’s probably 6 GB. Android 8.0 Oreo is here, probably in a clean version and I’m pretty sure the back camera has Carl Zeiss optics. Rumors talk about a debut during a press event scheduled in China on January 19th. This should also line up with the debut of the Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 3310 4G.
