Nokia took a dive in the “funny software” biz, by creating Audio Smileys, a beta app that plays funny sounds. These are played by pressing a number key (1 to 9), after you launch the application. There’s also a sound editor included, so you can create your own audio smileys.

For now the app works on any non-touchscreen Nokia devices, based on the S60 and S40 platforms, provided that they feature a standard alphanumeric keypad and Java CLDC-1.1/MIDP-2.0. This is beta software so expect to run into bugs and issues, but if you want to download Audio Smileys, here’s a link for you.
