Nokia’s most affordable Windows Phone 8 handset on the market is the Lumia 520 model, but that’s not the name adopted all over the world, it seems. For example, in USA this phone will be sold as Nokia Lumia 521, that recently got certified by the FCC for use on T-Mobile.
There’s no exact launch date shared, but at least we know the phone is good to go by FCC standards. The device goes by model number RM-917 and comes with AWS connectivity, probably being marketed as a 4G HSPA+ capable unit. This entry level WP8 model packs a 4 inch 800 x 480 pixel display, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and relies on a dual core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU to run the OS.
It also has an Adreno 305 GPU, a 5 megapixel camera at the back, 512 MB of RAM and a microSD card slot, as well as 8 GB of storage. Its power source is a 1,430 mAh battery and the phone doesn’t look bad at all, so for the right price it may become a hit.
