Nokia is trying to make a statement with its Maemo platform and N900 high end device, that has just started shipping. You can check out their “statement” in the video below, a very powerful piece of advertising, that you’ll figure out only if you wait for the end of the clip:

This Maemo device is very impressive and we’re wondering if it’ll compete with the freshest success of the moment, Moto Droid, the handset that sold 100,000 units last weekend. It’ll be a very interesting duel in the following months, with the XPERIA X10 on the market, the HTC HD2, Motorola Droid and probably something hot from Toshiba coming as well (a TG01 successor).
