Nokia has just released a new software update for N900 owners, version 1.2 (V10.2010.19-1), to be more precise. The update is available today globally and it brings a couple of needed improvements to the Maemo5 mobile computer. Among them, there’s a batch of games, that you can check out in the video below:

The titles can be found in Ovi Store and include names like Jurassic 3D Rollercoaster, Angry Birds, Kroll and GoGadget. Aside from the new games, the software update brings communication improvements, so the email will now support the ability to accept or decline an event invitation straight form the inbox.

Facebook IM chat is now activated and the new release includes video calling, plus portrait browsing via the integrated web browser. Ovi Maps benefits from a couple of UI changes, improving the navigation experience, while the interface in the menu system has also been modified, with the first level being customizable now.

In case you’re wondering, Nokia N900 won’t be getting the upgrade to the MeeGo OS, sticking to Maemo for now.
