We’ve got two scoops on Nokia’s upcoming flagship phone, supposedly named Nokia N9 or Nokia N950: the device has just passed the FCC and this model, or some other handset (not sure of the N950 and N9 are one and the same) is getting promoed by the agency ArguellesPictures. The latter confirmed on its Twitter account that it’s shooting the commercial for the new Nokia phone.
Nokia N950 is the one with the promo and we’ve heard that it might get released this summer. We have no idea if the N950 and the N9 are one and the same, but MeeGo surely comes to mind when thinking about both. The N9 aka RM-680 has just received FCC certification and if we remember well, Engadget had the chance to perform a teardown of the prototype last year.
We’re dealing with a hinged device, shaped a bit like the Nokia E7, but we should forget everything we know right now, since Nokia promised that early designs will be scrapped.
