Nokia plans to take on Huawei in 2009, by shipping the first Internet stick it has manufactured and using its experience to conquer yet another market segment.

The Finns have stated, in a Reuters interview that they plan on becoming the top HSPA modem solutions providers.

This market is  set to grow in the following years, as laptops and mini-notebooks become more popular and people stop using wired solutions for Internet. No info on the Nokia Internet stick price yet, but this depends very much on the carrier that’ll work with the manufacturer.

Vodafone are the favorites of the mobile device connectivity race, as they keep subsidizing dongles and promoting them aggressively.
