A while ago, Pete Lau, one of OnePlus co-founders, revealed the fact that this year we might get another smartphone device, a more accessible one. Even if is pretty unclear how this smartphone is going to be named (rumored OnePlus 2 Mini), we have the chance to see how its design could look like.
Through some renders arrived as always from China, we can take a closer look on some design elements OnePlus might bring on this device. What is interesting, is the fact that this Mini variant is prettier that the regular model that comes with a 5.5 inch display.
We notice a front-facing panel with some slim bezels, a speaker placed right below the display, but also the presence of a metallic frame. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device, a dual-tone LED flash and something interesting – a dual-camera. Just like the OnePlus 2, this model will bring us an USB Type-C port.
The only thing that intrigued us, is that the phone also offers some holes at the bottom for the speaker, so the question is – where the speaker is really placed? Under the display or at the bottom? One above the other, this device pictured above might offer just a clue about the phone’s final design. Apparently, the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip will be found inside this unit.
