Opera Mini is certainly one of the hottest mobile browsers, if not the hottest, thanks to the server side compression technology it uses to deliver pages at great speed. The July statistics for the browser’s usage have just been made public and we’re stunned to find out that Opera Mini’s users viewed over 10 billion sites this month.
Also, from the same report we learn that Opera Mini has 26.5 million users, 4.2% more than in June 2009 and 143% more than last year. The processed websites were around 10.4 billion, a 8.4% increased when compared to May and a 224% increase versus June 2008.
The top countries for Opera Mini usage were Russia, Indonesia, India, China, Ukraine, South Africa, US, UK, Poland and Nigeria and the most viewed websites in North America were google.com, facebook.com, myspace.com and wikipedia.org.
