The Oppo F7 handset is a device that features a notch, actually one of the latest to do so. Oppo even promoted it through this aspect and today we also learn more of its specs. Turns out that the device will have a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, a 16 megapixel rear camera and more deets, which you can learn below.
Oppo has kept busy lately, debuting the Oppo R15 handset in China earlier this week. They’ve also been intensively teasing the “Oppo F7 Selfie Master”. Somehow they promoed the device more for its Indian debut and teased it with the notch placed on various buildings or in various situations.
The Oppo R7 is going to resemble the Oppo R15 quite a bit and authorized retailers are already receiving the specs sheets of the device, pictured below. The F7 is supposed to have the same “hand feeling as the 5.5 inch iPhone”, while also offering a much bigger screen estate. We’re talking about a 6.23 inch screen, with an 88% screen to body ratio and an iPhone X style notch.
The aspect ratio is 19:9 and the device premieres the MediaTek Helio P60 CPU, which has strong AI features. Those have to do with camera capture and also face recognition and AR. There’s AI Beauty functionality, HDR and a 25 megapixel Vivid Mode via the front camera. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution and the Oppo F7 also brings full screen multitasking. The rear 16 MP camera has AI recognition put to work via a depth of field view, which is supposed to rival DSLRs.
The 12 nm MediaTek Helio P60 processor has “NeuroPilot” AI technology and a pretty big 3400 mAh battery, which offers up to 15 hours of play time. No info on pricing just yet.
