Beside the Oppo N3, the Chinese company in case also announced today a new device called Oppo R5. What is unique about this device is the fact that its case measures just 4.85 mm in thickness, size that makes it the world’s new slimmest smartphone, this title being held until now by the Gionee Elife S5.1.

We get to know the fact that Oppo R5 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display (423 ppi), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM memory, an Adreno 405 GPU, a 13-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and a f/2.0 aperture (4K video recording), and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Among other features we have 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2.000 mAh Li-Polymer battery that can be charged very quick using the VOOC technology. From the design point of view, Oppo R5 brings a case made out from aluminium alloy with a frame that measures just 3.5 mm in thickness.

Oppo R5 weighs 155 grams and measures 148.9 mm in length and 74.5 mm in thickness. As we can see, because of the slim case, the camera sensor comes out with just a few mm, a thing noticed on other products from the market. Getting to price, is expected that Oppo R5 to arrive on the market for about $499.
