Palm Pixi’s promotional video has just hit the web and no, it’s not as creepy as the one Palm Pre used for advertising. As far as the handset is concerned, you can say that this phone will be to the Pre what the Centro was to the Palm Treo model.

Pixi comes with a touch sensitive gesture area, a full QWERTY keyboard on the front side (no sliding mechanism), GPS, 8GB of internal memory, a microUSB port and a 3.5mm headset jack. The smartphone supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR EVDO Rev. A and it also packs a proximity and light sensor, accelerometer and a 1150 mAh battery.

Since it’ll be sold by Sprint, Palm Pre’s follow-up also supports the carrier’s services (NFL Mobile Live, NASCAR Sprint Cup, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV). What’s really impressive is the handset’s thin allure, since we’re dealing with a 10.85mm thick device with a capacitive multi-touch display upfront measuring 2.63 inches in diagonal.
