Panasonic debuted a new selfie phone in India today, priced at just a bit below $150. The device is dubbed Panasonic Eluga S Mini and it’s basically the mini version of the selfie-oriented Eluga S.
This model also takes good selfies, thanks to a 5 megapixel front camera. Eluga S Mini goes for $142 and it will be in stores this week. It comes with dual SIM slots and runs Android 4.4.2, plus it integrates on top of that the maker’s Fit Home UI. Upfront we get a 4.7 inch HD screen, while inside rests an octa core 1.4 GHz processor, together with 1 GB of RAM.
The identity of the CPU is unknown, but don’t be surprised if it’s a MediaTek or Broadcom. Panasonic Eluga S Mini has an 8 megapixel back camera with LED flash and the above mentioned 5 MP selfie shooter, with Blink Play technology. Finally, there are 8 GB of storage inside and a microSD card slot. This smartphone has 3G and WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and AGPS, as well as a 1980 mAh battery.
