Panasonic has been teasing its flagship smartphone for weeks and now the P81 model has come to life, at least in India. This is actually a 5.5 inch phablet priced at $324 and supporting a 720p resolution.
The device runs on an octa core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and has a Mali 450 GPU. Panasonic P81 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and measures a decent 7.9 mm in thickness. At the back we find a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and upfront a 2 MP shooter. The device comes with dual SIM support and a leather imitation back for extra grip. The handset’s CPU is a MediaTek octa core unit, in case you were wondering and this model also comes with FM radio and 1 GB of RAM.
8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, HSPA+, GPS and a 2500 mAh battery round up the specs list. Panasonic P81 is priced at $324, which is a decent deal and it comes with about $160 worth of freebies included, like 6 months of Evernote premium, free downloads from Hungama for a month, India today content and offers from Hot-n-Trendy Space. Finally, it comes bundled with a flip cover and screen protection.
