With CES 2013 almost out of the way, it’s now time to return to the usual leaks, speculations and renders. We do that with the Pantech Perception, that has just leaked in a Verizon version and it packs a 720p screen, that’s what you should know.
Of course, Full HD screen smartphones are trendy now, but they have yet to hit the market on major carriers. Pantech Perception, just like the Discover model, features a 720p screen and is based on a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 chipset, with no mention of the core count just yet. We can’t really tell if this is a 4.8 inch display like the Pantech Discover model, but the render shows a pretty big screen, so it may be so.
Verizon will supposedly sell the Perception for $50 on contract, when it launches, something that should happen sometime this quarter. If the render here is an indication, this handset virtual Android button sand some custom icons and widgets that don’t look that bad. I particularly like that clock widget!
