A couple of days ago we’ve heard some news according to which Pantech was going to reveal a new smartphone on June 30th. Well, the annoucement happend today instead, and thereby we’re meeting the company’s new device called Pantech SKY IM-100.

If at the first look this new smartphone seems to be an ordinary one, everything changes when we’re seeing the rear panel. Here, Pantech brought a jogwheel for volume control, and also for other tasks like taking pictures or unlocking the phone. Apparently, this phone has one hundred volume precision levels. In order to emphasize the audio focus, the company will offer a bluetooth speaker in the package.

This one is called Stone and it can also work as a wireless charger for the smartphone. From the specs point of view, we’re getting a 5.15 inch display with Full HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB space of internal storage + a microSD card slot up to 2 TB.

Inside the metallic casing we have a 3000 mAh battery, and among other specs we notice the presence of a 13-megapixel rear camera, of a 5-megapixel sensor and of the following connectivity elements: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE, microUSB v2.0 and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Pantech will sell this smartphone for a $390 price tag, only in South Korea for the moment!
