Peter Chou, HTC’s CEO recently participated in an important event, meant to make HTC HD2 official in Taiwan. During this event, he spoke about Microsoft’s crucial role in developing HTC products, about the iPhone’s flaws and the HTC HD2, as you can see in the video below:
The hot 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen phone is now shipping in Europe and Asia and it’ll arrive in the US in early 2010. It’ll sport a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, ideal for running Windows Mobile 6.5 and even Windows Mobile 7 in the future. Peter Chou was keen on mentioning that Microsoft is its “strongest partner” and the greatest achievement of the two companies working together was their first Windows Mobile device with a capacitive display, the HD2.
Of course, said smartphone was also compared to the iPhone, that gets beaten in every aspect, as you might have guessed. So, HTC’s main man is mocking the iPhone and praising Microsoft… this is probably good enough for Redmond, that’s lost the love from Motorola and a couple more handset makers in the past year.
