Philips has just announced that it’ll soon launch two new handsets, C600 and W186, the first being a dual mode phone, working on tri band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), plus CDMA 800 MHz. The phone comes with 2 call keys, one for GSM and the other one for CDMA networks.
The rest of the specs of this brand new Philips phone include a 2.4 inch QVGA touchscreen display, an MP3 player, a mere 2.5MB of internal memory, a microSD slot (cards up to 2GB) and a 1.3MP camera with support for video recording. Moving on to Philips W186, this handset bears the China Unicom Wo branding and it’s a triband GSM and dual-band UMTS device, that also supports HSDPA 3.6 Mbps.
Philips W186 comes with a 2 inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording and Bluetooth with A2DP. There’s also FM radio on board, 150MB of internal memory and a microSD slot with support for cards of up to 8GB. No info on these handsets’ prices just yet.
