Philips debuted a new handset called the S358 this week, a model that stands out through its 5 inch screen with HD resolution and Miravision technology. Said screen will apparently replicate the attributes of a Miravision large display panel for a TV set, for excellent viewing and crystal clear graphics.
Movies and gaming are the activities highlighted by the new panel. Wide view angles, lower power usage and realistic colors are all advantages of the same screen. The smartphone offers midrange specs, for the reasonable price of $131. The back side of the phone is slightly curved and the product comes in pink and black. On board we find a quad core 1.3 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and Android 5.1 as the OS.
The UI has been customized by Philips with bright and vivid colors. Two 8 megapixel cameras are offered here (one at the front and one at the back), with OmniVision sensors, that are able to adjust noise and colors to the situation. A 2300 mAh battery is here as well, with the usual innovative technologies, milking all the resources possible from power unit and reaching a day of usage easily.
