After the UStream release, we learn that Qik has just been updated, in its iPhone version, now supporting live broadcasting, no matter what version of the Apple handset you’re using (EDGE, 3G, 3GS). The app allows the user to save the videos on the device and then view it at any time.

You can consider this an alternative for other similar live broadcasting apps. This Qik update is welcome, specially since it brings new functionality to the scene and it’s a quality piece of software. You can record video and share it online via the address www.qik.com/your_nickname.

It’s a good time to wish all the best to the loved ones, with this app, either for Christmas or the New Year.
