HTC One E8 is the star of the day, the latest HTC phone being announced in China today, with the bulk of the HTC One M8 feature, but a changed design. This new model is more curved and ditches metal for polycarbonate, plus it has a 13 MP camera replacing the Duo cam. And we’ve got a very cool box for the phone, too…
You can see below some hands on pictures with the device, that follows the general design lines of the HTC One M8 and HTC One. Its very cool box is made by Yang Design, a fashion/design brand and it can be used as a lamp, thanks to special materials. You can turn it into a green light lamp and it’s made with renewable materials, so it’s also eco friendly. I have to remind you that this phone comes with a Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of storage.
The beautiful phosphorescent box may appeal to a lot of people and draw them to the stores, especially when showcased on the shelves. The phone itself is also appealing, but from what I’ve heard it’s only meant for China, which is a real pity, because international consumers would also dig it. From what I’ve heard this model will be priced around $500 and its benchmarks are very good, with 3D Mark Ice Storm Unlimited even reaching a huge 19k points.
