Canadian carrier Rogers has just started selling the first two Android phones that hit the market, Dream G1 and Magic (myTouch 3G) for a mere $79.99 with 3 year contracts. T-Mobile should pay attention to this offer and mimic it, if they want to keep their appeal, specially since they haven’t started offering HTC Hero yet.

Of course, the $79.99 price tag gets even lower, if we convert it to American dollars, going down to $74. Yes, 3 years of contract may sound like a lot, 12 months more than T-Mobile’s offer to be more precise, but at least those cool Android phones are priced the right way.

Also, last we heard, Hero received the FCC approval and it’s working on the NA 3G bands, so we might even see it in Canada first and the US next, unless T-Mobile pulls a stunt.
