Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to have 3 more versions coming, aside from the regular one: a rugged model called Galaxy S4 Active, a Mini version and a 16 megapixel cameraphone version. The Active model has just leaked in the first pictures on the web, that can be seen below.
This handset will be a dust and water resistant model and its specs are expected to be the same, including a quad core 1.9 GHz CPU with Adreno 320 GPU, although we’ve also heard that the CPU may be slightly underpowered. This device packs the same 5 inch Full HD screen, but there’s a piece of info saying it will have a 480 ppi pixel density, so the diagonal may end up being smaller.
A tipster also says that the Galaxy S4 Active will rely on an 8 megapixel cam, instead of the usual 13 MP sensor from the Galaxy S4. In spite of the similarity of hardware, the Active doesn’t quite look like the Galaxy S4 and it comes with a metallic shell with bolts on the back, as well as 3 hardware buttons below the screen.
