Samsung has messed with the lower age market segment before, by creating the Tobi handset, so it’s now the turn of Betty Boop to become the inspiration of a mobile device. Samsung Betty Boop was launched in France via Bouygues Telecom, but this is a limited edition handset, wearing the signature of the famous animated character.
Inside the phone’s box there’s also a Betty Boop pouch and various other accessories for little girls. Moving on to the specs, Samsung Betty Boop supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, incorporates a 65k colors display, an MP3 player, a VGA camera and FM radio. There’s also a microSD card slot among the features and a battery that lasts 3 hours of talk time and 192 hours in standby mode.
The handset is available here for 129 EUR, but the price goes down to 1 EUR, if you buy it with a 2 year contract.
