Samsung seems to be set on greatly expanding its lineup for this year, including new lines of products boosting unique characteristics. The latest announcement concerns a device that seems to be nothing more that a low / mid-range Android smartphone in the typical Samsung design.

The Samsung Galaxy Core has been announced and according to the manufacturer it is designed around a powerful dual-core hardware configuration with 1 GB of RAM, capable of delivering very good multitasking performance. The smartphone is powered by Android Jelly Bean and offers Dual-SIM capabilities.

The new Samsung smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display. It offers 8GB of Internal memory along with the usual microSD card slot for up to 64 GB. The device features a 5 Mega pixel camera with LED flash and a VGA front sensor for Video-Chat. It will be available in Dual-SIM as well as Single-SIM variants and comes with Samsung technologies such as: Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Motion UI, S Voice, Voice Unlock. No word about pricing as of yet.
