Following a pretty lengthy  series of leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is now finally official, as the strange clamshell phone shown below. Why strange? Because it lacks a second screen on the outside of the main one.

It’ll come to China first and although we have no pricing yet, a sum between $200 and $300 should get you this model, I suppose. The device packs a 3.8 inch screen, with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, plus a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, clocked at 1.4 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. There’s 16 GB of storage available here, plus a microSD card slot.

The OS is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, in spite of the limited format somehow and a 1950 mAh battery rounds up the list. It’s said to provide 318 hours of standby and the Galaxy Folder 2 measures 15.4 mm in thickness and weighs a hefty 160 grams. Camera-wise, we’re set for an 8 MP main shooter and a 5 MP front camera. 4G LTE and WiFi b/g/n also made the cut.
