Samsung’s Galaxy J7 handset is turning into a regular series, as the device now received a third model within the range. We have the 2015 Galaxy J7, the Galaxy J7 (2016) and now there’s a Galaxy J7 Prime coming.
The new model is said to only increase the price of the predecessors slightly and bring more RAM, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Where the J7 offered 1.5 GB of RAM, the Prime brings 3 GB, which is also a boost from the 2 GB of the Galaxy J7 (2016). Galaxy J7 Prime will pack an 8 megapixel selfie camera, an upgrade from the 5 MP one from the other Galaxy J7 units.
The fingerprint scanner goes into the Home button upfront and the device is also said to get a 5.5 inch screen, a 1.6 GHz Exynos 7870 octa core CPU and a 3300 mAh battery. Expected to debut in Vietnam, the phone will probably get a Super AMOLED screen like the J7 2016, not a TFT one like the model from last year.
