Samsung debuted in China a brand new version of the Galaxy Mega handset, one that brings an upgraded CPU. The newcomer is called Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus and it’s only available in China for now.
The standard version of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 comes with a dual core CPU, but the Galaxy Mega Plus opts for a quad core one. The new processor operates at 1.2 GHz and this slight upgrade approach was done before by Samsung, that also released the Galaxy S3 Neo also in China a few weeks ago.
The new product has only the CPU as an upgrade, while the rest of the specs is intact. This means we get the same 5.8 inch 960 x 540 pixel screen, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 megapixel back camera. Upfront there’s a 1.9 megapixel shooter and this model comes with dual SIM slots and a 2600 mAh battery. Can’t tell if it will be available on other markets as well…
