Samsung’s Galaxy S series continues to expand, this time with the GT-I9070 model, also known as the Galaxy S Advance. We’re dealing here with a dual core device, that will be unveiled next month at MWC 2012 and we’ll be there to give you a proper hands on demo of the smarpthone.
This phone is lower specced than the Galaxy S II, but better than the original Galaxy S, as one would expect. Galaxy S Advance uses a dual core 1 GHz processor, a curved 4 inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and support for 720p HD video recording, plus a 1500 mAh battery and the usual 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also Android 2.3.6 as the OS of choice here, plus the TouchWiz interface, the usual Samsung widgets and the Music, Reader and Game Hub.
The curved design of this smartphone really sets it apart from other Galaxy S series models and I look forward to playing with this newcomer next month, at MWC, in Barcelona. Hopefully we’ll get to record our own hands on video experience, that unlike the one below will be better lighted and won’t have dogs barking all through the clip.
