Samsung Electronics has just announced that its famous flagship series Samsung Galaxy S passed the sales record of 100 million units in just 2 years and 7 months after its debut in May 2010. The Galaxy S III is the hottest seller right now, with 30 million units moved in 5 months and 40 million in 7 months.

It took only 50 days for this smartphone to sell 1 million units, after being released in May 2012. It also reached an average of 190k units per day, the S III. However, credits also go to the very loved Samsung Galaxy S II, that pushed the sales of the series with a very good 40 million units in only 20 months. At this rate, Apple has serious reasons to worry about Samsung in the future, seeing how the hype around the Galaxy S IV is already building up.

Imagine if we also lumped in together the sales of the Galaxy Note series and some more devices…. The iPhone is not that cool item anymore and Samsung is certainly riding a high wave right now, one that not even the Apple lawsuits can stop. Who can stop them?
